Remember when the Entertainment Weekly cover came out and we all freaked out because there was finally something in the media about The Hunger Games? And then when The Men of The Hunger Games came out and we all freaked out over their hair? What about when we all watched the teaser together and stayed up really late waiting until literally the last ten minutes of the awards show to watch the one minute clip? Or when we did the ‘I just want the trailer’ riots? How about the day when the trailer came out and we got up really early or stayed up super late or didn’t sleep at all to wait for it to come on live TV? Some of us even went to NYC and met Josh and saw the clip with a thousand other fans. Or that night Safe and Sound came out and we all stayed up until three in the morning just sobbing at the haunting perfection? And then when the video for it came out and we all watched it live on TV or the live stream and then there were gifs right away? Or when the soundtrack listing was released and people were freaking out over the artists? Or when the TV trailer played during the Superbowl and people watched the pregame show just to see it?

And now, in three weeks, we’ll get to watch the red carpet at The Hunger Games premiere together and we’ll be able to fangirl over the outfits and the actors and the interviews. And then, just a week and a half after that, we ourselves will have our own premiere for The Hunger Games. We’ll cry and we’ll scream and we’ll flail. 

It sounds nerdy to say this but everything is coming to a close and when I think back at all of the amazing things that have happened, I don’t remember any of the drama. I don’t remember any of the fights. I remember the laughter and the fangirling and the posts STUCK IN CAPS LOCK FOREVER. In the end, the bad things don’t matter. Good always wins over evil. And the movie is the ultimate triumph.
